Up 730am: Sunny and hot with temps to about 90.

***Text from Janny and Joe that they would be out to garage sales and over to 940 this afternoon.

Watched 'KATE' (Netflix). A female 'assassin for hire' is poisoned and has less than 24 hours to live, yet she must finish her last assignment. A corny plot and nearly the same  story as in '24 HOURS TO LIVE' with Ethan Hawke (2017). Winstead makes it worthwhile because she is as good or better than any 'action hero' out there; with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson.

Preparing the house for a visit and then watched the last of 'ZAPPA' (Netflix disc), but didn't finish because the Brandenburgs Arrived. 

1230pm-430pm- A very pleasant visit. I had planned to offer them cold Pepsi, but the drinks were flat because they had been in the pantry for several (?) years.... Into the Big Blue Can. 

445pm: On the treadmill...5 MILES AT 3.6 PACE and almost finished TOM SEGURA on J.R.E.

In the tub to determine which book is next, 'RAIN DOGS' or 'PERSONAL FREEDOM' (picked this one) listening to RAY DAVIES- 'Americana', LUCERO, and various podcasts. 

Began Netflix disc 'LONG SHOT'.  Nebbish reunites with his first crush and she's the Secretary of State of the United States and contemplating a run for the presidency. Weirdly humorous; Charlize Theron, Seth Rogen, Bob Odenkirk, and Andy Serkis (in an unrecognizable role).

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
