Sa 9/25/21- Buddy Sick/ Trimmed Hedge
Sa 9/25/21
925am. 1135am (a pinch). 330pm (a pinch). 920pm.
Up 730am: A trace of fog early to mostly sunny with temps only to low 70's.
Watched 'RIDESHARE' (Hoopla- I borrowed this title yesterday). This is a strange little film that offers some thought provoking ideas about America's infatuation with social media. A creepy and hulking rideshare driver goes on a late night killing spree in contemporary Los Angeles. In the final scene we learn that the killer has created an elaborate ruse to frame his older brother for the murders. The film was shot with a 'Red Dragon Camera' and I watched part of a video about this piece of state-of-the-art equipment.

***1140am: Buddy threw up everything that he'd eaten today. I noticed that he threw up a hairball early this morning. Around 1215pm I gave him more to eat and he's kept it down, but he's been pretty sedated all day.
Watched episode 1 of 'JAILBIRDS OF NEW ORLEANS' (Netflix). A documentary about the poor and the deranged who are housed and abused in Louisiana. The prison commissary is online and snacks are ordered from kiosks within the prison and somebody's making a hell of a profit off of these unfortunates. The criminal justice system does nothing positive for the prisoners and the profit motive is a major incentive to keep this barbaric charade in place.
Watched the final episode of 'CRIME STORIES: India Detectives' (Netflix). A couple with six kids (and another on the way) live on the streets of Bangalore and a man steals one of her babies. Authorities never locate the kid, but they did find the man that took the child. He wouldn't reveal who he was working for or where the baby was. Apparently it's OK for Indian police to beat suspects.
2pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing to walk and pick up more tall plastic bags for the litter box.
235pm: Wash.Pk. southside, Bates, Outer Park, Park north, Woodland, Walnut, Governor west to Feldkamp, Monroe west to Fairhills/ County Market (cat food, tall kitchen bags, baby powder), Chatham, Fairway and up to 940...2 HOUR AND 10 MINS.
Read 'RABBIT RUN' on the couch.
6pm-630pm: Trimmed the evergreen hedge on the side of the house and cut off a tree that was growing in the fence in the back (pool people's yard).
645pm: In the tub with UPDIKE and listening to THE HEARTLESS BASTARDS' and various podcasts.
Watched 'CIRCUMSTANCES' (Amazon Prime). Another fairly decent Independent that's worth a look. "When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose". The film shows how reasonable black men might become pimps and evolve into players in the sex trade industry. Filmed in Milwaukee and New Orleans.
