 Su 9/5/21

9am. 1050am (a pinch). 315pm. 955pm.

Up 710am: Bright and sunny with temps to about 80.

Watched the rest of Netflix disc 2 'JOHN ADAMS'. It certainly dispels the notion that the founding fathers were all in agreement..."The Gangrene of Factions"... Many in the senate did not even feel that the president should be allowed to select his own cabinet.

Watched 'LORELEI' (Hoopla). A gritty tale of the relationship between a recently released biker/ex-con and a hotel maid with three kids (by three different men). Not exactly believable, but a storyline that was truly somewhat original; with Jena Malone and Pablo Schreiber (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK).

130pm: PC is 'Off' and will walk over to the Walgreens PO box to drop the disc and clear my head. Then, it's the Weekly Cleaning and on to Planet Fitness.

325pm: To Planet Fitness...45" Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30"Cross.  Watched 'ONE NIGHT IN MIAMI' (AMAZON PRIME). I thought that when I was watching the film that it was based on a true story. No! It's fiction and based on a play. On the night that Cassius Clay beats Sonny Liston, four black leaders meet in a Miami hotel room; Clay, Sam Cooke, Malcolm X, and Jim Brown. They talk about Race, Money, Class, and The American System, but the discussion is strictly 'TV Movie' dialogue.  Then I finished a SARAH SILVERMAN podcast and began a  '2 Bears, 1 Cave- SEGURA/ KREISCHER.

Because of the time, I'll hit County Market tomorrow morning.

720pm: In the tub to start 'MIDNIGHT ' by DEAN KOONTZ and listening to SONNY ROLLINS.

Attempting to watch the rest of 'INHERENT VICE' (Kanopy). Problems with Kanopy and I really should call the library to find out if other people are having trouble with Kanopy. Tonight I only required one reboot. Maybe not as many people are using Kanopy late at night?

***I ordered a copy of 'INHERENT VICE' by Thomas Pynchon from Amazon: $2.50, but still free to me...credit card points/rebates?  Super complicated Noir, but some nice 'bits' and a star-studded cast; with Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Eric Roberts, Benicio Del Toro, Jena Malone, Reese Witherspoon, and Martin Short. I am looking forward to reading the novel.
