I wrote up 'NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN' by Cormac McCarthy for the blog and added the disc to my Netflix queue...(Long Wait). 

Paid the card(s). 

Watched 'THE DARK VALLEY' (Amazon Prime). My pick because Sam Riley also starred as Ian Curtis in 'CONTROL'. In the late 19th century a mysterious American stranger visits a village in the Tyrolean Alps and mayhem ensues. Whenever any of the locals got married, the village's corrupt leader had to sleep with the wife first.  The stranger's mother suffers this indignity and his revenge involves killing everyone one involved. Shot in South Tyrol, Italy (The Italian Alps). Not a bad film, but maybe if I hadn't seen 'PALE RIDER' I would have liked it more. Clint Eastwood is a much better 'lethal stranger' because he wrote the book on the genre. 

***During the film I got a call from Aetna to schedule an 'in-home' visit. I had resisted this idea, but decided to take them up on it. It is on Wednesday, September 22 from noon to 1pm. Lindsey Meloche is the healthcare rep. Is it about buying more insurance? 

I also had a note on my calendar to schedule a phone chat with ATT to help me during the Fall sign-up. However, the note was in error and 9/27 is the first day to make a phone appointment. 

Watched the next episode of 'CLICK BAIT' (Netflix). Finally, a (kind of) suspect and it's the brother of a woman who committed suicide after being exploited on-line by the dark and sexy physical therapist.  The captor insists that the dating site was fake and photoshopped and he had nothing to do with it..."The horizon lines don't match".  After talking with the police, the kidnapper claims that he let him go after the count reached 5 million views and did not kill him. Will save the last two episodes for Planet Fitness later this afternoon. 

2pm: PC is 'Off' and will read for a while 305pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30" Cross. Last 2 episodes of 'CLICK BAIT' (NETFLIX), then finished a JOEY DIAZ podcast and began an ARI SHAFFIR podcast. 

655pm: In the tub with 'BODIES ELECTRIC ' and listening to 'AMERICAN FOOL ',  'AMERICAN BEAUTY', and various podcasts. 

Watched 'LAUNDRY DAY' (Amazon Prime)..."The following events are based on reality"... A superior low budget, Indie/Art Film about a day in the life of 'CheckPoint Charlie Music Club and Laundromat' on the seedier side of New Orleans.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
