Mo 10/11/21
Mo 10/11/21940am. 940pm. (12 hrs. apart. It happened!)
Up 750am: Rain began around 10am and continued through the afternoon. Temps to low 70's.
Watched 'THE ATTORNEY' (Amazon Prime). Another movie about Democratization in South Korea. The film is based on the experiences of a lawyer who defended a group of university students who were arrested when they formed a book club to discuss political systems that were not sanctioned by the Korean government. Years later this lawyer later became president of South Korea and later committed suicide after he was charged with corruption and bribery. Not a very good movie, but an interesting subject.
Wrote the 'Weekly Wrap'.
2pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.
215pm: 5 MILES AT 3.5 PACE and 0.50 SLANT...I watched more of BERT KREISCHER on J.R.E. then the last episode of ATYPICAL, and began an UNCLE JOEY'S JOINT.
Reading on the couch and finished 'MAO II'' by DON DeLILLO. An interesting piece of writing, but not compelling because it wasn't deep enough. One of the few books that I might have liked more if they were longer.
550PM: 2 MILES AT 3.5 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and finished JOEY DIAZ'S podcast with DAVID CHASE (The Sopranos) and began another 'WHISKEY GINGER '.
645pm: In the tub with a new novel- 'OverTheEdge'- JONATHAN KELLERMAN and listening to SKRILLEX, BANDITOS, and various podcasts.
Began a long YouTube video about Frank Zappa's recording labels called ''FRANK ZAPPA: FROM STRAIGHT TO BIZARRE". Alice Cooper signed to Zappa's label in 1968 when they were still called 'The Nazz'. Captain Beefheart was musically untrained and hummed, whistled, or shouted the music to band members and they transcribed it. An 18 year old female songwriter became Zappa's girlfriend and her album was released to do nothing. The GTO'S (Girls Together Outrageously). Zappa released Lenny Bruce's first unedited album and supported Lord Buckley and Wildman Fischer's comedy. Celebration of art by the insane. Straight Studio Logo....Cloud of smoke and a ruler underneath.
