Th 10/7/21- ATT Benefits Call: 11am.

1210pm. 320pm (a pinch). 945pm.

Up 730am: Partly cloudy with a chance for rain later this afternoon with temps to the low 70's.

I wrote up 'THE END OF THE DREAM' by Philip Wylie for the blog.

I watched a JOEY DIAZ podcast

I tried to get a handle on my insurance plans before the call from ATT Benefits that should occur around 11am this morning. I think I know less than I did when I started. My doctor should be selecting the plan, not me. I'm done at 10am and will watch something else until I receive the call. I watched a JOEY DIAZ podcast and was about to begin a SARAH SILVERMAN when I got the call at 1055am.

Today was not at all what I thought it would be. I just signed up for 'Care Plus' which augments my regular coverage. They will send information in the mail. The only change is that this year the plan will cost a dollar a month. When I get the written material I must remember to have this paid automatically out of the HRA. He said my next step is to contact AON to upgrade my Aetna Dental Plan.

Today's call was kind of a bust. The only thing that I did was enroll in a plan that costs a dollar a month. They will send written material and I can figure out what it all means once I receive this information.

Then I called AON to find out how I can beef up the dental coverage. This is what I wanted to do in the first place. AON Enrollment is from Oct 15 thru Dec 7th and I made an appointment for a specialist to call me on Tuesday Nov 9th between 11am and 1230pm. The phone number is 1 800 944 6955.  More as it occurs...

Watched 'BLACK SEA' (Netflix). A crew of ex-submariners are contracted to retrieve a sunken boatload of lost Nazi gold. Unfortunately, it was just a scam by a big corporation to have them retrieve the treasure and then rip them off. Lots of manly drama under the sea; with Jude Law, Scoot McNairy, and Ben Mendelsohn.

3pm: PC is "Off" and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness. The plan is to hit Dick's on the way home to shop for a weight bench. Also, grits and cat food.

325pm: To Planet Fitness 45" Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30" Bike. 30" Treadmill.  30" Cross. Watched an episode of 'KILLER MYSTERIES ' (Amazon Prime), more of BERT KREISCHER on J.R.E and another episode of SQUID GAMES (NETFLIX). part of an ARI SHAFFIR and a JOEY DIAZ podcast.

Up the hill to Dollar General:  2 boxes of grits, 4 cans of cat food,  and a Halloween candle (pumpkin).

730pm: In the tub with 'MAO II' and listening to 'Bad JuJu'- JIM SUHLER,  'Bad Luck Streak In Dancing School '- WARREN ZEVON, BAD COMPANY.

***In the mail today I got a bunch of information from Aetna about my new policy for 2022. No mention of what I went through this morning with 'ATT Benefits'. We arranged a fucking call to determine whether I wanted to pay one dollar a month or not? And for what?

It looks like Aetnea has raised the dental limit from $750 to $1000 that they will pay for. I thought this was the policy I had in 2021? Ask the fuckers when I talk next month.

How does Aetna stack up against the new United Healthcare policy that seems to be the new thing?

I watched 'RAW' (Netflix). A young vegetarian attending college to become a vet gets her first taste of meat and it turns her into a cannibal. An Arthouse film with more than a nod to David Cronenberg and David Lynch. It was not like any other 'vampire/ flesh eating' film I'd ever seen and well worth a look. I predict an instant Cult Classic. Directed by Julia Ducournau and it was her first film and it won 24 awards and was nominated for 45 others.

"It’s a wonderfully bizarre movie set in a world that at first glance might be our own, yet quickly slides off the rails into gonzo territory."
