Up 740am: Overcast and rain begins early this afternoon and continues through tomorrow. Temps to the low 70's.

Watched 'THE GAMBLER' (Amazon Prime- leaving 10/11). A college English professor has a severe gambling addiction that masks his suffocating view of his own life.  His entire life is binary.  He has limitless possibilities yet he reduces his choices to 'Yes or No', 'To Be Or Not To Be'. There are other options, Bud. This is the movie that has  John Goodman's line about "Two and a half million is 'fuck-you' money"- meaning that this would be the amount that would allow you to do what you want for the rest of your life. "That's your fortress of fucking solitude". I first heard that when I saw the movie the first time and I had 2 and a half million. Now I have more.

Watched the last part of 'FOREVER RICH' (Netflix).  'Thug Life' ain't what it's cracked up to be. "When I become a millionaire I'm going to have a maid, a butler, and a McDonald's in my house".

545pm: On the treadmill...2 MILES AT 3.5 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and more of ANNIE LEDERMAN on ANDREW SANTINO. 

645pm: In the tub with WYLIE (I finished the novel) and listening to LONNIE JOHNSON,  GARAGE CLASSICS- 'The MC5', and various podcasts. 

Watched an episode of  'BAD SPORT'- 'Need For Weed' (Netflix). Randy Lanier smuggles tons of cannabis to fuel his passion for motorsports.  His marijuana operation hid hundreds of thousands of pounds of weed in the ballast tanks of huge ships and netted enough to fund the best cars, equipment,  racing talent and a lavish lifestyle for his family. His operation was finally shut down and he spent several years in jail, but today he works to promote legal sales of cannabis.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
