Up 7am: Partly sunny with temps to mid 50's.

I wrote up 'THE SICILIAN' by Mario Puzo for the blog.

Watched 'SECRET WINDOW' (Netflix). The film is based on a short story by Stephen King.  

A writer flees to an isolated cabin to avoid dirorce proceedings and runs into a man who claims that he wrote a story accredited to the writer. This is an untruth because the writer has just lost his mind and has hallucinated the wicked interloper. A crazy romp of a film and not meant to be taken too seriously. A critic complained that this was Stephen King's self-aggrandising testament to the horrors of 'writer's block', but I thought it was just a wryly humorous movie that was shallow fun; with Johnny Depp, Maria Bello, John Turturro, Charles S. Dutton, and Timothy Hutton. Filmed in small towns fifty miles east of Montreal, Canada. 

Then I began the first episode and part of the next episode of  'COLIN IN BLACK AND WHITE' (Netflix). I don't know how I feel about this one and the tone is very odd, but I'm hooked.

120pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk. southside, Vine, South Grand alley, 2nd St. north to Monroe PO box, Governor, Lawrence, Fairway and up to 940...Mp3...JAMES BROWN, JOHN ZORN...TWO HOURS.

Began. 'FUZZ' by ED MCBAIN on the couch. The Updike novel, 'A MONTH OF SUNDAYS' ran out of gas.

450pm: 2 MILES AT 3.6 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT...THEO VON on J.R.E.

6pm: In the tub with 'FUZZ' and listening to SONNY SHARROCK, NUCLEUS- 'Under The Sun', 'The Man Who Sold The World '- BOWIE.

Watched Netflix disc 'THE MARKSMAN'.  A man living on the Arizona/Mexico border saves a young boy and his mother from the border patrol and a Mexican cartel. The woman is shot and killed and her dying wish is that the man take the kid to her family in Chicago. The man and boy have thousands of the cartel's money and they burn it. What fools. Very little marksmanship, but it features one decent car crash; with Liam Neeson and he's almost a little too frail for the Action Hero roles .  The film begins in Naco, AZ which is just down the road from Bisbee, AZ where Doug Stanhope lives.
