Su 12/5/21

920am. 1150am (a pinch). 235pm. 830pm.

Up 720am: A little rain last night and today it will be cloudy, misty, and mid 50's with a chance of more light rain later this evening.

Watched 'TELLING LIES IN AMERICA' (Peacock TV).  A nerdy, yet slick Catholic high school student meets a silver-tongued radio DJ during his senior year in Cleveland, 1961. When it's all over, the boy finds his conscience, albeit somewhat selectively. This was a very different 'coming-of-age' tale in that the protagonist ended up slightly worse than where he started. The whole wide world did not suddenly open up to embrace his new perspective... "It doesn't matter how you get it, just so you get it".  Screenplay by Joe Eszterhas who did SHOWGIRLS and BASIC INSTINCT.

Then I finished the Netflix disc 'SHOWGIRLS'. Brilliantly inspired trash that so misses the point that it becomes something else entirely. Although it's packed with nudity, the film is completely lacking in sexuality because of  the block headed and tone deaf actions and dialog of the characters. It's so serious, yet completely hysterical simultaneously; with Elizabeth Berkley, Kyle MacLachlan, Gina Gershon, Glenn Plummer, and Robert Davi...."It's amazing what paint and a surgeon can do".

145pm: On The Weekly Cleaning and then an afternoon at Planet Fitness.

245pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross.  46" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30"Cross and watched a Netflix True Crime, finished TED NUGENT on J.R.E., part of a JOEY DIAZ podcast,  an episode of 'Tiger King, and Joey Diaz.

640pm: In the tub with BUKOWSKI bio and listening to CANNONBALL ADDERLEY and MILT JACKSON,  JIMMY SMITH Live, '7 Steps '- MILES.

While I was at Planet Fitness Diaz was talking about one of his movies that he really liked because it was near the time that he quit cocaine. I found it streaming on Pluto-TV.

'BOILERMAKER' (Pluto-TV). Bank robbers hijack an AA meeting after a failed bank heist. Much better than I expected and Joey carried his weight and then some. No pun intended.
