Up 7am: Fog early, then cloudy with temps to upper 30's. Several inches (1"-5") of snow are predicted for tonight and early Saturday.

Decided to watch 'SUBMARINE' (Tubi- TV). A comedy that doesn't allow principles to stand in the way of progress.  The New Yorker:   " Submarine is an exhilarating surprise". A quirky 'coming of age tale' about a fifteen year old Welsh high school student who wants to lose his virginity and to stop his mother from having an affair with their neighbor. This man was her lover before she married;  with Craig Roberts, Sally Hawkins, Paddy Considine, Noah Taylor, and Yasmin Paige. Filmed near Penarth, Wales. 6 wins & 17 nominations..."My mom gave a handjob to a mystic".

1140am: PC is 'Off' and take the last walk before the snowstorm tonight. 

1205pm: Parkview, Country Club, Outer Park, Lincoln, Walnut, northside of Wash. Pk., up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...TWO HOURS...Mp3...JOHN MAYER;  JETHRO TULL. 

230pm: Reading 'THE BLOOD ARTISTS' and listening to Amazon Music. 

450pm:  TWO MILES AT 3.7 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and watched more of CARROT TOP on J.R.E. 

 540pm:  In the tub with CHUCK HOGAN and listening to STEALERS WHEEL;  GERRY RAFFERTY.

Began 'FOUR GOOD DAYS' (Kanopy).  A 31 year old junkie must stay clean for four days at her mother's house so that she can get a shot that will negate the effects of opioids for thirty days. A dramatization of the horrors of  dealing with an addict that you happen to love more than anything in the world. I suppose this is somewhat true since it is based on a real mother and daughter, but it seemed to push an agenda rather than the truth. Heroin addiction does not cause your teeth to fall out and how addicts act did not ring true; with Mila Kunis and Glenn Close.  Filmed in Santa Clarita, CA.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
