815am. 12pm (a pinch). 730pm. 

Up 645am: Partly sunny and temps to mid teens with wind chills below zero.

Watched 'HELD FOR RANSOM' (Hoopla).  A neophyte Danish war photographer goes to Syria and is captured by a cell of the terrorist group 'Daesh' (Isis). He did 13 months of torture and degradation before his family was able to raise the ransom money. Denmark has a strict policy that forbids any negotiation with terrorists. The four cruel guards were British men who had converted to this violent ideology and the prisoners nicknamed them 'The Beatles'... "Here you must earn your right to die".

Began 'HANSEL AND GRETEL GET BAKED' (Vudu TV- first time on the free streaming service. Password- 'Mayor's Street (first capitalized)/zip). 
1230pm:  Watched the first 17" and decided to hit the treadmill and finish the film in the evening. It's less than even money if I complete this one because stoner movies are not all created equal. 

1250pm: FIVE MILES AT 3.6 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and watched more of TIM DILLON on J.R.E (the last 2 miles at 3.7 pace- listening to 'LIVE AT LEEDS).

Reading 'LONDON' and listening to Amazon Music. 

450pm: FIVE MILES AT 3.6 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and more of TIM DILLON on J.R.E. 

545pm: In the tub with 'LONDON' and listening to MARBIN (an excellent Israeli progressive jazz band I stumbled upon this afternoon on Amazon Music); 'Skag Heaven'- SQUIRREL BAIT'.

Began Netflix disc 'STRANGE BUT TRUE'. Years after the death of her son, his girlfriend shows up pregnant and claims that the baby is his. A fortune teller told her this. It sounds ridiculous, but it's a pretty good mystery/thriller, and it's the dirty old 'grandpa' with a supply of roofies that got the girl pregnant; with Nick Robinson, Amy Ryan, greg Kinnear, Brian Cox, Margaret Qualley, and Blythe Danner. I had seen this one before, but it was worth a second look.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
