Up 645am: Cloudy and temps to about 40 with a chance of snow showers or light rain this morning (never happened). Back in the teens tomorrow. 

Watched 'THE COLONY' (Netflix). Astronauts revisit Earth to see if the survivors can have children to repopulate the world. Great dystopian sets with lots of rusty interior boat hulls, mist, and fog, but the story was less than clear..."For The Many"; a slap at Socialism? Shot in Brandenburg, Germany: 50 miles west of Berlin.

Watched more of 'NEWTON'S CRADLE' (Netflix). A Middle Class Egyptian mother wants to have her baby in the US. Is this a thing? If the baby is a US citizen would his parents be given preferential treatment to change from Egyptian to US citizenship. 

I wrote The Wrap and around 1245pm the PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

 105pm: FIVE MILES AT 3.8 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and watched more of 'NEWTON'S CRADLE' (NETFLIX) and more of  JAMES LINDSAY on J.R.E. 

 Read 'RABBIT IS RICH' on the couch.

450pm: TWO MILES AT 3.8 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT  and began a JOEY'S JOINT with one of his acting pals from THE WIRE.
545pm: A pinch of weed and then in the tub with 'RABBIT IS RICH' and listening to AC/DC- 'Powerage'; FREDDY HUBBARD.  

Watched the Netflix disc 'ANGEL OF MINE'.  A woman is driven crazy by the death of her infant daughter, but seven years later she's convinced that one of the neighbors' kids is her dead daughter.  She's not nuts because it really was her neighbor who saved her baby during a fire at the maternity ward seven years before. An enjoyable 'B-Movie' experience. I liked it... Why we have the indentation above our lips : An angel touches humans at birth to prevent the baby from remembering all of life's mysteries that were apparent in the womb. Is this a real religious folktale or just part of the script? From a French film called 'TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL';  with Noomi Rapace and Yvonne Strahovski (STATELESS).
Watched a couple of YouTube reviews of the film and will save the Bonus Features on the disc for tomorrow.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
