I sent 'The Wrap' to Janny because it slipped my mind yesterday.

Re-watched 'THE HUNT'(2012). I completely 'misremembered' this film. I was convinced that it had the same theme as 'THE HUNT' (2020)- People with rifles hunt hapless victims, but this was not the case. This film was about a man who worked in a Danish kindergarten and was accused of pedophilia. A truly powerful drama about a man in a situation that was totally out of his control. An 'old school' example of a witch hunt that did not begin on social media; with Mads Mikkelsen. Nominated for 1 Oscar: 38 wins & 73 nominations.  This is an interesting take on the film: Slant Magazine- "The film is in part an exceedingly black comedy that parodies proper society's eager, self-righteous naïveté on the subject of its children".

Watched the first episode and half of the next one of 'STATELESS' (Netflix). Immigration woes in Australia as seen through a few different storylines. Binge worthy.

1220pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk outside. 

 1pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk., southside, Wiggins, Outer Park, Lincoln, through Wash. Pk. Park, Governor,  Lawrence,  up through the golf course, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINS...Mp3...ROLLING STONES,  JACK BRUCE.

445pm:  TWO MILES AT 3.7 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and watched more of SHAFFIR, GILLIS, NORMAND on J.R.E. 

540pm: In the tub with 'LONDON' and listening to HAROLD MELVIN AND THE BLUE NOTES; MOUNTAIN. 

Watched 'SHADRACH' (Amazon Prime). Set in the 1930's, a 99 year old black man travels from Alabama to Virginia to be buried in the land of his youth. A poor  white family does the right thing and sees that the old man gets his wish. Seems like it might have made a better novel, but worth a look; with Harvey Keitel, Andie MacDowell, and Martin Sheen (narrator). Filmed in and around Wilmington, North Carolina. 

And then I finished episode #2 of 'STATELESS' (Netflix) that I began this morning.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
