Up 630am: Partly cloudy with temps to mid 40's. 

Watched 'GIRL INTERRUPTED' (Netflix). A young woman tries to commit suicide and lands in a mental institution. Entertainment Weekly: ..."a junior-league 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"; with Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Clea Duvall, Brittany Murphy, Elisabeth Moss, Jared Leto, Jeffrey Tambor, Whoopi Goldberg, and Vanessa Redgrave. 

***Weights arrived by UPS at 1015am. I did a set and the weights are perfect. A ten pound increase would have been too much, and five is just right.  

I watched the first episode of 'KITZ' (Netflix). Set in the Aspen of The Alps' (Kitzbuhel, Austria). A young woman snoops above her class to punish the woman who caused the death of her brother. Don't know whether I'll continue on this one. (I will not)

1245pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a long walk...at long last.

Today I would have normally gone to Planet Fitness, but it's been so long that I've gone for a long walk, so I decided to break with tradition. Tomorrow, I'll get a car wash and do the grocery shopping. That's the plan.

Ran this month's Windows Updates on the living room PC.

125pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk. northside, Walnut, Henrietta, Lowell,  Outer Park, Wiggins, Wash. Pk., up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...Mp3...BLUE CHEER on the phone, but dropped off at the park; IAN HUNTER...TWO HOURS.

445pm: TWO MILES AT 3.7 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and began CARROT TOP on J.R.E. 

 540pm: In the tub with CHUCK HOGAN and listening to TASTE; 'Around Midnight '- MILES DAVIS. 

Updated the downstairs PC.

Began 'WE WERE SOLDIERS' (Netflix).  'The laundromat in town won't let you wash your colored clothes. There's a sign in the window that says 'Whites Only'; with Mel Gibson, Madeleine Stowe, Greg Kinnear, Sam Elliott, Chris Klein, Keri Russell, Barry Pepper, and Jon Hamm. The army had local cab drivers deliver telegrams notifying wives that their husbands had been killed in battle. This was early in the war and army staff were not prepared for so much death. This is probably the most significant insight of the film, but the movie is drenched in he-man nonsense and clownish heroism and Mel Gibson is the perfect vehicle.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
