Up 7am: Frigid and windy with temp to 20 with windchill readings close to or below zero.

Watched 'BEING THE RICARDOS'(Amazon Prime). The 'I Love Lucy' show was the biggest thing on TV until Lucille Ball was exposed as a communist. It wasn't entirely true, but she did believe in worker's rights. This news comes at a time when Lucy suspects that Dezi has been cheating on her. The actors on the show (Fred and Ethyl) are not wild about their characters but like true professionals, they shoulder on. How did Dezi Arnez get J.Edgar Hoover to publicly admit that Lucille Ball was not a communitst? That must have been a heck of a story;  with Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, J.K. Simmons, Nina Arianda, and Jake Lacy (I'M DYING UP HERE).

Watched more of 'STAY CLOSE' (Netflix). Little of the mystery has been revealed and there are four more episodes. Will watch more at Planet Fitness.

1pm: PC is 'Off' and getting ready for a visit to Planet Fitness.  
***On the way I noticed that I'd forgotten the ear buds, and I used the spare set in the glove box. A brilliant idea and the buds will stay in the glove box for as long as I own the car!

125pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross.  45" Cross.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30"Cross and watched 2 episodes of 'STAY CLOSE ' (NETFLIX), NATE BARGATZE on SKEPTIC TANK, and nearly finished BRIAN REDBAN on J.R.E. 

 530pm:  In the tub with 'LONDON ' and listening to CHICAGO; CAPTAIN BEEFHEART. 

Watched 'LINEWATCH' (Netflix). A crooked black cop on the New Mexico/ Mexico border is lured back into the 'thug life'. He's recognized from years ago in an LA gang. The gang needs his help smuggling drugs across the border and holds his wife and daughter hostage; with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Dean Norris (BREAKING BAD). Filmed near Albuquerque, New Mexico and Pajarito Mesa. The story was nearly impossible to accept; no matter how much weed you might smoke.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
