810am. 1245pm. 5pm (a pinch). 730pm.
Up 640am: Cloudy with temps barely out of the 20's. Snow showers around noon, but no accumulation.
Watched 'THE EXORCIST' (Netflix). An undisputed film classic and the costumes and authentic set designs make it a wonderful time capsule from the America of 1973. I had forgotten the crude and frightening medical tests that were given to Regan before the exorcism. This especially scary section of the film certainly shows that hospital testing equipment and procedures have come a long way in fifty years; with Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, Linda Blair, Lee J. Cobb, and Jason Miller. Won 2 Oscars- 16 wins & 17 nominations total.
Then I finished episode 20 of season 2 of 'NEWTON'S CRADLE' (Netflix) that I began last night and then 16 mins. into the next episode.
12pm: PC is 'Off' and will do the Weekly Cleaning and then to Planet Fitness for the workout.
105pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30"Cross and watched the first three episodes of 'REACHER' (Amazon Prime) and finished TULSI GABBARD on J.R.E.
5pm: In the tub with 'STAR CHILD' and listening to 'Layla'- DEREK & THE DOMINOS 40th anniversary.
Watched 'CURTIZ' (Netflix). Pronounced 'ker-teez'. An account of Hungarian film director Michael Curtiz and his problems with the studio during the making of the film classic, 'CASABLANCA'. In 1942 the authorities simply wanted an anti-German movie that was pro-war and pro-USA. But, the director wanted a more nuanced film about regular people caught up in 'the winds of war'. It's shot in black and white and unfortunately a little on the dull side yet still worth a look.
