An early start to the film so that I can get in some miles on the treadmill before a visit to the dentist for 'deep cleaning' on the left side of my mouth.

Watched 'THE ALPINES' (Amazon Prime). Seven college friends meet to reconnect after they've been apart for a long time. Soon they learn that their meeting at this remote setting is about something very deadly. One of the friends has attempted suicide and wants to take a few more with him as he makes his dramatic exit from this mortal coil. Basic corny nonsense, compelling, yet people who are suicidal are much less likely to harm others. Right? Shot in Wolcott, Vermont. 

1020am: PC is 'Off' to get an early session on the treadmill before the dentist.

1030am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 (increase) PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and more of DUNCAN TRUSSEL on J.R.E. 

In the chair by 1pm and out by 2pm: $369. They started at around $500 for today's session and when I mentioned that last time it was only $300, she rechecked and said 'I had paid my deductible'. The whole fucking thing is corrupt.

***I drove to Maribis for edibles (a certain amount of gum pain, and what better remedy), but the ATM was still down and there were no debit or credit cards accepted and the website doesn't offer a directory of what's for sale. This joint is doomed.

6pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and more of DUNCAN TRUSSEL on J.R.E. 

6pm:  In the tub and finished 'THE WHITE ALBUM and began 'WHY PEOPLE BELIEVE WEIRD THINGS, and listening to LIVE GRATEFUL DEAD.

Watched 'DOING HARD TIME' (Netflix). A young black man's five year old son is killed in the crossfire of a gangland shooting. The shooters got only two years, so dad attacked a cop so that he could land in the same jail as his son's killers and get his revenge. The film is only somewhat worth a look and although it might be a selling point for some, I thought that there were far too many shots of black men in showers; with Boris Kodjoe, Michael Kenneth Williams, Sticky Fingaz,Reagan Gomez-Preston, and Jazsmin Lewis.  The movie's biggest distinction might be that it had the dumbest ending of any movie in recent memory. The two arch rivals have a brutal fistfight and become best buds. "To survive in prison you turn the 'cool light' off and the 'mean light' on".

Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
