Up 630am: Partly sunny, breezy with temps to mid 70's, however rain begins late tonight and extends through Thursday.

Picked a couple from Hoopla; 'THE FOUR FEATHERS' and 'DISTORTED'.

Watched 'THE FOUR FEATHERS' (Hoopla). It's a kind of love story set during the Mahdist War- The British Incursion into the Sudan (1881-1899). Five friends are British officers and on the eve of their departure to the front, one of the men resigns his commission. He is given four white feathers to signify his cowardice, but he's the bravest guy of the bunch. A little corny, but overall well worth a look; Heath Ledger, Wes Bentley, and Kate Hudson.  

I called Epperson's office and I will be able to file electronically  when I pick up the taxes later this afternoon.

I called Silver Sneakers and learned that my membership is 'active' and the number is still good so if I have any trouble with LA Fitness I can give them my card. 

While I found the Silver Sneakers card I noticed an unused $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. I wonder if it's still good? I just called and yes it is. Lots of phone work today.

1225pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a long walk and then to Epperson to send off the tax return. 

155pm: Kenyon,  Oakmont, Greenbrier across Vets, then north across Old Jack's, Rickard, Lawrence,  Durkin...Epperson to sign for transfer and picked up the paper copy, Monroe, Lynhaven, Westview and down to 940...A BIT MORE THAN AN HOUR AND A HALF...HENRY THREADGILL; JACK BRUCE.

435pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and began LEAH REMINI on J.R.E. 

525pm: In the tub and finished 'A Dance At The Slaughterhouse' by LAWRENCE BLOCK and listening to JAMES BROWN.  Only 2 beers tonight...tired.

Watched 'DISTORTED' (Hoopla). A half-baked and silly tale of a woman who is suffering from mental problems. She and her husband move into an exclusive condominium complex that is wired for the 21st century to provide her with a safe place to recover her sanity. Cryptic messages are broadcast on the TV and security cameras abound because it's all a sinister plot to control her mind and convince her to murder a three year old child. Very cheaply made and you can tell it. Filmed in and around Kelowna, British Columbia, CA.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
