We 3/23/22- Low White Cell/SUPPLEMENT SUPERSTORE

 We 3/23/22

810am. 1125am (2 hits/bong). 1pm. 745pm.

Up 615am: Light rain on/off for most of the day with temps to low 50's.

First time on 'GROUND NEWS'.

Watched 'THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION' (Netflix). A very different addition to the 'prison genre' about a man doing life for the murder of his wife and her lover and actually does experience a kind of redemption. He becomes a confidant of the warden and a popular prisoner, but after a couple of decades, he escapes to Mexico and even saves his best prison pal; with Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Bob Gunton, and James Whitmore.  Based on a short story by Stephen King and filmed on location in Mansfield, Ohio and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Nominated for 7 Oscars; 21 wins & 43 nominations.

***During the film I got a call from Dr. Ellison's office. They want to do another blood test in a month because I had a slightly low white cell count. Just reading a couple of headlines it appears that this is diet related. Low white cells means that I'm more susceptible to infections. They will call me to schedule next month's test.

Began 'THE GREAT ROBBERY OF BRAZIL' (Netflix). A crew of robbers in Brazil dig a tunnel 80 yards long to enter the bank vault. They get away with the equivalent of $33 million in US dollars. At the end of the series they mention that this type of robbery (tunneling under bank vaults) is becoming more common in South America.

1240pm: PC is 'Off' and I'm still not sure whether I hit Esporta or Planet later this afternoon.

110pm: To ESPORTA; 1st visit in 2 years.

***As I was walking from the locker room to the exercise area I met Joe's sister and his niece. They said that this was their first visit to Esporta. Very strange; the last people I expected to see in there.

45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30" Cross (no arms- I missed this machine).

While I was on the treadmill an elderly black man came over to me and said that I looked like "Doc" on 'Z Nation'. I guess there's a resemblance.

****I visited the Supplement Superstore; 2302 Wabash (across from Esporta) and got a bunch of vitamins.  I didn't get a receipt, but I Googled what I bought and saw that the product was fifteen dollars more expensive online.

****Later Wednesday night the receipt was posted on Heartland and I paid $59.80 and I saw that it was listed for $65 online, so it was cheaper on Wabash.  Two bucks a day is worth it because I couldn't buy 'natural' foods and make nutritious meals for that price....I think. We'll see if I notice a difference in how I feel and, most importantly, will it make a difference on the next blood test?

525pm: In the tub with 'GEORGIANA' and listening to JETHRO TULL- 'STAND UP '/'THICK AS A BRICK'.

Watched a half hour of 'THE CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING' with Bert Kreischer.

Watched the first two episodes of  'Z NATION' (Netflix). Zombie mayhem played more for laughs, but still plenty of gore. I'm a little surprised that there are five seasons.

'Southbound' on Tubi

'Fireworks' Wednesday on Hoopla or Kanopy

'Easy Money' on Imdb
