 Fr 4/1/22

Up 630am: Partly cloudy with temps to about 50.

815am. 1040am (1 hit/1 hitter). 1225pm. 710pm.

Entered 'THE MAN WHO QUOTED KIPLING' by Lawrence Block to the blog.

Watched the Netflix disc 'ZOLA' . A wild and crazy story of two 'stripper/prostitutes' on a weekend in Tampa, FL. The script is hilariously well-written and based on an actual story-thread on Twitter; with Taylour Paige, Riley Keough, Nicholas Braun, and Colman Domingo. "Outrageous and offensive, but authentic and not a caricature".

Watched 'THE BLOCK ISLAND SOUND' (Netflix).  An old man seems to be channeling some kind of 'force' and although his adult son lives with him,  'the powers' become too much for their living situation. No monsters or spirits, but a real sense of dread. It hints that extraterrestrials might be studying 'us' (humans) 'for our own benefit....according to their standards'. Filmed off the coast of Rhode Island on Block Island, Jamestown, Rhode Island, and Narragansett, Rhode Island.

1210pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness. Shut off the film at 1'06 with 32" left that I'll finish on the cross-trainer.

1235pm: To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30"Treadmill. 30"Cross and finished 'THE BLOCK ISLAND SOUND' (NETFLIX)  and JOCKO WILLINK on J.R.E

5pm: In the tub with TOM ROBBINS and listening to GENESIS.

Watched 'FREEWAY: CRACK IN THE SYSTEM (Plex-TV).  It's a low-budget biopic about 'Freeway' Rick Ross, a major California drug dealer who helped the CIA flood South Central Los Angeles with crack cocaine during the mid 80's. The US government was selling crack and then funneling the proceeds to fund the Contras in Nicaragua. A subplot is that Rick Ross 'The Rapper' took the name of Rick Ross 'The Drug Dealer' so that he could further his career. Dealer Rick takes his case to court and loses. Produced by Al Jazeera America.
