Watched 'A SCANNER DARKLY' (Kanopy). I guess the film could be seen as a plea to end government intrusion into the lives of citizens, but I think the real focus is merely to present a sparkling selection of cracked conversational narratives that people might say while they are high. The characters constant teasing and banter is a stoned hoot; with Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Robert Downey Jr., Rory Cochrane, and Woody Harrelson. From a novel by Philip K. Dick, directed by Richard Linklater; 4 wins & 21 nominations. 

Watched the first episode of 'A VERY BRITISH SCANDAL'- Season 2 (Amazon Prime). Cut it off at 45" and continued on the treadmill.

Stock Market Drops A  Thousand Points

1125am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

1135am:    FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 1.5 SLANT through episode 2 of 'A VERY BRITISH SCANDAL'.

Reading and finally finished 'THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY'.

405pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and began DOUG STANHOPE on J.R.E. 

450pm: In the tub to begin 'AMERICAN BOY' by LARRY WATSON and listening to 'PRESENCE'- Led Zeppelin.

Watched Netflix disc 'THE NEST' (Netflix).  Set in the late 80's about a stock broker and his family. He has big dreams for all of them but he's spending them into the poor house. A well-done family drama set among the predator capitalist class; with Jude Law, Carrie Coon, Oona Roche, and Charlie Shotwell.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Another episode of 'I'M DYING UP HERE', and then another 'GLOW'. 250PM- Drove to FitClub West, then after the workout to the County Market on south sixth for beer and some groceries- and a dependable can opener! We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
