We 5/11/22
750am (2). 1015am (1). 1235pm (1). 710pm (1). 825pm (1).
Up 6am: Mostly sunny, muggy with temps to just above 90.
***Windows Updates ran on the downstairs PC last night and had to do a restart. Living room PC is back in business and both up to speed by 715am. Major inconvenience with no change or improvement to the operating system whatsoever- as usual.
I wrote up 'AMERICAN BOY' by Larry Watson for the blog when I was screwing around with the Windows Updates.
Watched 'TAKE THIS WALTZ' (Hoopla). A woman succumbs to a powerful sexual connection to the neighbor across the street. A strange movie in that her 'true love' seems to morph into the same sad situation that occurred with her ex. Full female nudity in a superfluous shower scene and some crazy water aerobics. 3 wins & 19 nominations; with Michelle Williams, Luke Kirby, Seth Rogen, and Sarah Silverman.
***Crazy sounds of building/tearing down going on in the neighborhood. I cannot figure out what it could be. When I left for Planet Fitness I drove down Fairway and the noise was caused by workmen tearing out a concrete driveway.
Then I began watching 'VALKYRIE' (Amazon Prime). The story of the last assassination plot to end the life of Adolf Hitler. I wonder how much of this is based on actual fact, and although it is definitely star-studded, it is not memorable; with Tom Cruise, Bill Nighy, Kenneth Branagh, Tom Wilkinson, and Terence Stamp. Shut it down with thirty minutes left to go and I'll finish later at Planet Fitness.
1210pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness.
***First time for the AC this season.
1240pm: To Planet Fitness: 45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30"Bike. 30"Treadmill. 30" Cross and finished 'VALKYRIE' (AMAZON PRIME), more of TONY HINCHCLIFFE on J.R.E, and a SKEPTIC TANK.
450pm: In the tub with 'ZERO DAY' and listening to THE CHARLIE MINGUS TRIO; ERIC DOLPHY.
Watched 'BROKEN IDOL: The Undoing of Diomedes Diaz' (NETFLIX). After years of juicial battles a Columbian superstar is convicted of the murder of a fan. It seems that the girl was strangled at a party and a bodyguard disposed of the body. Diaz, the singer, was very rich and arrogant and convinced that the law couldn't touch him. It took several years but he was finally charged and convicted, but served only three years. I didn't care for the style of music and I thought the singer was corny and insincere.
