Sa 6/25/22- Mowed lawn
725am (2). 950am (1). 1120am (1). 445pm (2 hits pre-roll). 705pm (1).
Up 530am: Mostly cloudy with temps to about 90 with a strong chance of rain early this evening.
Watered the flowers along the front walk and wrote up 'STILL WATERS' by Tami Hoag for the blog.
***Downloading a big 'Update' for the phone. I wonder what will change...and later; nothing that I can tell and I was just happy to get the phone back without any negatives.
Watched 'HUSTLE' (Netflix). A scout for the Philadelphia 76'ers travels to Spain and discovers a 22 year old kid who plays the game on a completely different level. Although many NBA players were featured in the film, most of the basketball action was shot on city courts in front of an inner city audience. I liked this one a whole lot more than I thought I would; with Adam Sandler, Queen Latifah, Juancho Hernangomez (as Bo Cruz), and Ben Foster.
Finished 'WHO WE ARE: 'A Chronicle of Racism In America' (Netflix).
1125am: Parkview, Country Club, Laurel, Outer Park, Park, Wash.Pk. panhandle, northside, up the hill, Parkview, Kenyon, and down to 940...TWO HOURS...Mp3...'Live ALLMAN BROTHERS'; Live DEREK & THE DOMINOS.
Finished 'VALIS'- P.K. DICK and then more of 'A THIN DARK LINE' by TAMI HOAG.
***330pm-405pm: Mowed front lawn(s) and half the back. Behind the Virgin Mary it wasn't tall enough to make it worthwhile to push the mower over it. The guy next door was watering his plants. We waved.
450pm: In the tub with HOAG and listening to HERBIE HANCOCK; HORACE SILVER; 'Dirty Mind'- PRINCE.
Watched 'A FILM UNFINISHED' (Tubi-TV). The film is German propaganda footage of the Warsaw Ghetto during the winter and spring of 1942-1943. This was a random collection of cityscape scenes by the Nazis cinematographers that was never officially edited but it seemed to demonstrate the differences between the Jews in Warsaw. Some existed in extreme poverty and literally were dropping dead on the streets and scenes of other Jews sipping champagne and living the high life until the money ran out. Almost 500,000 people lived 1.3 square miles and nearly all of the 'actors' eventually ended up in the Treblinka concentration camp.
***Huge thunderstorm blew through about 845pm (and more on the way). I stood on the breezeway and watched the extreme lightning and thunder- very impressive. Scattered thunderstorms continue till about 1am and some could be severe. I hope there will be no problems with CWLP and i3 Broadband tomorrow morning.
