Watched Netflix disc 'THE CARD COUNTER'.  An intriguing profile of a professional casino gambler with a past. He was a CIA trained torturer at Abu Grave and meets a young man who lost his father to suicide because his stint as a guard at Guantanamo Bay sent him into a deadly spiral. A strange and haunting presentation, but completely mesmerizing; with Oscar Isaac (EX MACHINA, INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS), Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan, and Willem Dafoe.'77 Metascore' and 3 wins & 15 nominations. Directed by Paul Schraeder. Music by Robert Levon Been of  THE BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB. Tattoo on The Counter's back: "I trust my life to Providence, I trust my soul to Grace".

I watched the first of a three part Netflix series called 'ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR: Minute by Minute'. The Americans fired the first shot of the battle. An US ship noticed a miniature Jap submarine and sank it about thirty minutes before the Japanese air assault began. 

1030am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk.

Finished the bio of NELSON ALGREN by Bettina Drew and began 'KINDRED' by OCTAVIA BUTLER.

225pm: Preparing to do the Weekly Cleaning and then mow the lawn; 25" cleaning/  45" lawn.

440pm: In the tub with KINDRED and listening to THE BRECKER BROTHERS; 'Deuce' - RORY GALLAGHER.

I was happy to see the release of  'THE TERMINAL LIST' on Amazon Prime.  I read the Jack Carr novel several weeks ago and planned to begin the first episode tonight. However, I got tied up in an interview with Nick Swardson on WHISKEY GINGER and decided to save 'THE TERMINAL LIST' (Amazon Prime) for tomorrow morning when I visit Planet Fitness before the birthday party at The Brandenburg's on Glenwood.

More of 'ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR: Minute by Minute' (Netflix). This episode covers the first wave of the air attack on Pearl Harbor.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
