Wrote up 'UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN' and 'NIGHTMARE ALLEY' for the blog and then borrowed two titles from Hoopla- 'WASHINGTON SQUARE' and 'THE WIPERS TIMES'. This is part of the August 'Bonus Borrow' and these titles do not deplete your credits.

Watched 'THE WIPERS TIMES' (Hoopla). The film is about a satirical newsletter published by a company of soldiers fighting on the frontlines during WWI near the city of Ypres, Belgium. The name of the town is pronounced 'Eee-prah' and the English nickname was 'Wipers'.  The film is shot on a shoestring yet witty and very clever and based on real events. Filmed in Northern Ireland. 

Watched 'HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MIND- MDMA' (50") (Netflix). MDMA was invented in 1912 by Merck as an anticoagulant but it wasn't successful and sat on a shelf for decades.  Decades later a researcher recreated the drug after the patent had run out and realized that MDMA would be a perfect tool for therapy- especially those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Rick Doblin is an American drug activist that has spent over fifty years trying to get MDMA legal in therapeutic situations. He's been on Joe Rogan several times and I'm going to check out the podcast the next time I'm on Spotify.

1105am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

 1120am   FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO  SLANT and finished MARK NORMAND on WHISKEY GINGER, then began THEO VON on WHISKEY GINGER. Weights/ 3 sets/ 15 reps.

350pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and watched the last episode of 'MO' (NETFLIX). It ends with Mo being chased by 'coyotes' at the US/ Mexican border and I hope there's a season 2.

445pm: In the tub with GEORGE BENET and listening to early ROD STEWART but didn't turn a single page and melded with The Faces.

Began Netflix disc 'TENET'. Only a light grasp of what's going on is required. Car chases like no other film. Cars chasing in reverse? Like nothing else.     Shut it down at 1 hr 21 mins; Chapter #9

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
