***When I went to bed last night I was feeling very anxious about logging in this morning. First try and it connected;  'Last handle/ '...is the loneliest...'. A huge relief!

Up 545am: Hot & very humid with temps to 90. Heat Index to 105.

Watched the Netflix disc 'DRIVEN'.  A comedic take on the downfall of John Delorean, an American auto executive who split from Detroit and set up his own car company. When he ran low on funds he tried to save his company by selling a mountain of cocaine.  Delorean was arrested and charged, but got off because the whole incident was judged to be an FBI scam of entrapment. I understand what they were trying to do with the film, but I think this fantastic story would have worked better as a drama;  Jason Sudeikis, Lee Pace, Judy Greer, and Corey Stoll. The film was shot in Puerto Rico just after Hurricane Maria nearly destroyed the island in 2017.

1015am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk to pick up the Tamsulosin and mail back the disc. 

1050am: Parkview, Wash.Pk northside,  Park, Monroe, Adams, County Market pharmacy, Washington, behind McD's, Monroe, Fairway, Kenyon, and down to 940...ONE HOUR AND 30 MINUTES...Live BOB MARLEY; Live YARDBIRDS. 

So hot & humid I was drenched and had to take a shower. Reading 'SAMARITAN' .

330pm: THREE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and began a SKEPTIC TANK. 

430pm:  In the tub with 'SAMARITAN' and listening to BLODWYN PIG.

Watched Netflix disc 'EQUITY'. {First time to use the new DVD reader on the downstairs PC}  A female Wall Street executive launches an important Security IPO and faces charges of insider trading. It's a strong female driven film that  expounds on the 'Greed Is Good' ideal and celebrates the fact that powerful women can acknowledge their simple dedication to naked ambition. Not sure that this is how I would want my investors to act, but they sell the point of view with an excellent ensemble cast; with Anna Gunn (BREAKING BAD), Sarah Megan Thomas (A CALL TO SPY), and Alysia Reiner (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK).
810pm: Shutting down a little early tonight. So different from yesterday's frenzy.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
