Up 530am: Mostly sunny with temps to the low 80's.

Watched 'UPGRADE' (Peacock-TV). The review that got me..."Upgrade is a brutish, efficient and well-executed slice of cyberpunk action horror with a silly streak"...A man and his wife are carjacked, his wife is shot dead and he is left a quadriplegic. A brilliant hi-tech billionaire implants a computer chip that allows the 'quad' to become, 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and now he can nail the fiends who killed his wife.  The reveal is that the 'chip' is behind it all because the software program wants to become human; with Logan Marshall-Green.  Filmed at Docklands Studios, Melbourne, Australia. Considering the genre, this is a real 'cut above'. 

Then I watched 'INSIDE THE MIND OF A CAT' (Netflix). Lots of cute cats but not much new information.

1045am: PC is 'Off' and preparing to mow the lawn and maybe take a swipe at the back garden. 

1110am-1210pm: mowing & weeding

1225pm: To Esporta...45"Cross (no arms). 15" Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30" Cross.  30"Cross (no arms) and watched 'THE WORST CRIME' (AMAZON PRIME)- Johnny Johnson rapes and murders a six year old and gets the chair. Is the fact that he's been in treatment for schizophrenia his entire life a factor at least in the sentencing?  He's now on death row waiting appeal. Then more of a J.R.E., and more of THEO VON on BERTCAST. 

***The new Timex was on the front stoop when I returned. Had it up & running in just a few minutes. 

440pm:  In the tub with 'UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN' and listening to BILLY COBHAM;  THE J.GEILS BAND- Live Germany. 

Watched more of Theo Von on Bertcast while doing the weights/ 15 reps.

Watched the first episode of 'THE UNDECLARED WAR' (Peacock-TV). It's about a cyberattack on Great Britain's infrastructure. A young Indian woman's first day on the job proves that she might be the sharpest knife in the drawer over at GCHQ (Government Communications Head Quarters; the British equivalent to the NSA). This is a little 'soapy' but I definitely am hooked on the story.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
