Watched 'CITY OF GHOSTS' (Amazon Prime). A New York swindler flees town after authorities uncover a massive insurance fraud and he must travel to Cambodia to locate his partners in crime. The film is a visual valentine to the country of Cambodia. It's a feast for the eyes and the story is compelling yet complicated; Matt Dillon, James Caan, Natascha McElhone, Gerard Depardieu, and Stellan Skarsgard. Matt Dillon's directorial debut. 

Finished 'LUDIK' (Netflix).  Netflix is undecided as to Season II. I vote yes.

More of 'METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER' (Netflix). Self absorbed arty types strive for meaning or is it just posturing? Is anyone asking for this level of introspection? A little over fifty minutes left...

11am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk in the park.

410pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and finished MIKE BAKER on J.R.E and began ALEX BERENSON on J.R.E. 

5pm: In the tub with 'THE CITY' and listening to GINGER BAKER'S AIRFORCE.

Watched 'RANDY RHOADS: Reflection of a Guitar Icon' (Amazon Prime). I have to listen to 'Blizzard of Oz' and 'Diary of a Madman'. His mother was a music teacher and he often taught other rock musicians. Killed in an idiotic airplane accident- tour manager was 'buzzing' the tour bus and crashed.

I watched a little of the first episode of 'JAMES MAY: OUR MAN IN ITALY' (Amazon Prime).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
