Up 550am: Bright and sunny with temps to the upper 70's.
Watched 'BEYOND' (Hoopla). A happily married Swedish woman with two young daughters learns that her mother is dying and wants to see her. Her mother and father were uncaring alcoholics and she had completely cut ties with them because of drunken excesses and physical abuse. The story is told in flashbacks and is a very scary depiction of one of the worst cases of family abuse I've ever seen on film; with Noomi Rapace.
Then, 'A COPS AND ROBBERS STORY' (Kanopy). As a young man he was a drug dealer and thug, but he turned over a new leaf and joined the New York police and ascended to the rank of commanding officer. During his 21 years career with the police he never spoke of his past, but when he 'told all' on a podcast, the police turned against him. Was he turning a blind eye when his thug friends broke the law? Once a thug, always a thug. I think if there were more cops like him, things might be a bit better in the high crime areas. It takes one to know one.
1125am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness.
1210pm: To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross. 45"Treadmill. 30"Bike. 30"Treadmill. 30"Cross and watched the first episode of 'DAHMER' (NETFLIX), finished BERTCAST with MARK NORMAND, began NICK SWARDSON on WHISKEY GINGER.
To the gas station up the hill for a 24 pack of Bud Light.
435pm: In the tub with 'FALSE MEMORY' and listening to THE MELVINS Playlist.
Began 'I USED TO BE FAMOUS' (Netflix). An ex-Boy Band star from Peckham, England tries to stop street busking and get back into the world of professional music. He meets an autistic drummer and the two make some fine music, but the boy's mother is far too over-protective. The film is a little bit corny yet heartfelt acting makes it worth a look.
