Up 610am: Rain showers possible later this morning and then partly cloudy with temps to upper 80's. Update: No rain, but a cool front blew through and it remained cloudy, breezy and temps barely to mid 80's. 

I left the disc in the dvd player and had no problem getting it to play but I think there is a problem when this particular disc loads. And then I had problems with the Windows Screen Saver. It activated at 2 minutes even while the disc player was engaged. When I tried to 'turn off screensaver' Windows directed me (via Bing!) to the internet, but wouldn't turn off. I could only make it not come on until 240 minutes have elapsed.  

Disc #2 Netflix 'THE HANDMAID'S TALE'. I would have liked to have gotten the last part of the series next, but I've already got another disc coming. 

Began 'HEIST' (Netflix).  Female bank driver drops off her co-workers to fill up the ATMs at a Las Vegas casino and drives off with over 3 million in cash. Will start with episode #2 on the treadmill. 

1125am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

1140am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE & ZERO SLANT and watched more of 'HEIST' (Netflix).

130pm- 155pm: Walked to Walgreens PO box to mail back the disc. Listened to PAULY SHORE on WHISKEY GINGER. 

Reading 'FALSE MEMORY'

345pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT finished PAULY SHORE on WHISKEY Ginger. 

445pm:  In the tub with 'FALSE MEMORY' and listening to 'Masters of Reality'- BLACK SABBATH'; JOHN LEE HOOKER & CANNED HEAT; GLENN HUGHES. 

Watched 'DARK STATE' (Amazon Prime).  American intelligence services infiltrate the entertainment industry and use threats and blackmail to shape public opinion and usher in a 'New World Order'. That's the premise, and it's a doozy, but the acting is only at the amateur level. "The unwashed masses, it is their collective and willful ignorance that is enslaving humanity. It is not a few people at the top".  Filmed in Hammonton, NJ- "Blueberry Capital of the World". 100 miles south of NYC and 36 miles southeast of Philadelphia.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
