We 10/12/22
8am (B). 1115am (2-SB). 1215pm (B). 345pm (1-SB). 445pm (2-SB). 710pm (B).
Up 610am: I awoke about 1am and had difficulty getting back to sleep. A cloudy day with temps to low 60's and occasional showers.
***I had to manually load the Windows Updates. As usual, there was no discernible change in performance or anything else.
Watched 'THIS IS 40' (Netflix). An irreverent look at an upscale suburban family in California. Dad owns a record company because he couldn't hold a job and mom owns an upscale clothing shop because dad owns a record company. The film had its' moments, but the characters only interactions seemed to be exchanges of pointed epigrams and witticisms that seemed hard to swallow. "Too Cool for School", but still worth a look ; with Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Maude Apatow, Iris Apatow, Jason Segel, and Graham Parker. Directed by Judd Apatow.
The plan was to hit Esporta this afternoon, but I've decided to take a long walk since the chance of showers has ended. Tomorrow I'll call Planet Fitness and see if they've solved the wifi issue.
Watched the first episode of 'HIGH WATER' (Netflix). Is this about climate change? A river town in Poland is at risk of flooding and a female hydrologist is on the case. She lives in Holland with her boyfriend instead of Poland because pot is legal in the Netherlands. Shut it down 20" to prepare for a walk around Washington Park. I'm still feeling a 'negative tingle' in the left knee.
1140am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for the walk.
1225pm: Wash.Pk- Parkview, southside, panhandle to Walnut, back panhandle northside, road up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 20 MINUTES...GRAHAM PARKER Playlist.
***No knee pain!
Reading 'JULIAN'
350pm: TWO MILES AT 3.8 pace: 31" 30' and finished RICK GLASSMAN on WHISKEY GINGER and more of TULSI GABBARD on J.R.E. No knee pain.
45pm: In the tub with 'JULIAN' and listening to JOHN HIATT Playlist; 'Tommy'- THE WHO Shuffled.
***Manually downloading Windows Updates while watching an episode of TUESDAYS WITH STORIES. I got a strange 'command' (?), that was confusing but when I hit the spacebar I was back in business. The entire ordeal was only ten minutes, but I wish more people would complain. Am I the only one who sees this as a major inconvenience?
Then more of 'HIGH WATER' (Netflix). I shut it down at 16 minutes into episode #3, The water level is rising and it's only a question of how bad it will get.
