We 10/19/22

735am (B). 10am (1-SB). 1235pm (B). 455pm (1-SB). 655pm (B).

Up 6am: Bright and sunny with temps to 50. Temps to upper 70's by the weekend.

I spent some time figuring out how to return the new moccasins. It was actually far easier than expected. There is a UPS return in Michaels which is near Esporta at White Oaks. No postage charge and I'll visit the store this afternoon.

Watched 'THE STRANGER' (Netflix).

Synopsis: A small circle of seasoned undercover cops must pose as a vast and influential criminal network to catch a murderer who has evaded conviction for eight years. A really interesting way of conveying a police sting operation and you never really know if their 'suspect/ perpetrator' did it or not; with Joel Edgerton (Mark) and Sean Harris (Henry). Based on a true Australian missing person/ murder case.

1) I made the 'pre-appointment' for the colonoscopy- Tuesday, Dec 6th at 1115am west campus; second floor.

2) Buddy's Booster is on Monday Nov. 14th at 1130am

Watched more of 'THE KILLING' (Amazon Prime). They've only solved one 'missing girl' incident. There might be more cases and Chief Inspector Brix might be somehow involved.

1245pm: To Esporta...45" Precor.  45" Treadmill.  30" Cross.  15" Bike. 30" Precor and finished 'THE WATCHER' (NETFLIX). Kind of disappointing because The Watcher is not revealed; finished 'The Church' with RALPHIE MAY; began a SKEPTIC TANK about Hardcore & Ska.

***15 minutes off the workout to drop off the moccasins.

Michaels happens to be directly west of Esporta (it couldn't be any closer), but no help because they don't make labels. A woman said 'on Wabash by the U-Haul' (a female bodybuilder that I think I used to see at FitClub West). Pulled into a lot behind the County Market on Vets, but both the UPS store or the U-Haul doesn't exist. Fuck. The UPS STORE far south on Conestoga is closest. Another day...

5pm: In the tub with '10,000 SAINTS' and listening to PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC- Live 1969'; ELVIN JONES.

Began watching 'AMERICAN DRUG WAR: The Last White Hope' (Amazon Prime). The film makes the case that our government is behind the drug epidemic because selling drugs is good business. The government was shown to be dealing drugs to support the Contras in Nicaragua. They flooded the poor black neighborhoods of Los Angeles with cocaine and the profits went to the right-wing government of Nicaragua. And the pharmaceutical conglomerates fight to keep all drugs (even cannabis) illegal so that Americans are forced to use their legal drugs.  The fact that cannabis is still considered a 'Schedule One Drug' is a tragic joke.
