Up 505am: Cloudy with temps to mid 40's and showers to begin this evening.
Listening to Yannis Pappas & Tom Segura talk conspiracy theories on YouTube and Lex Fridman interview Rick Rubin.
Watched 'BULLET TRAIN' (Netflix). The Supreme Boss of Japanese crime arranges to have a bunch of hitmen ride a bullet train to Kyoto and have them all assassinated. Clever banter, a lot of hand to hand, and an excess of CGI are not sufficient to carry a film, but 'Bullet Train' is saved by the zany characters (but just barely); with Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, and Sandra Bullock.
Watched 'BELLE VIE' (Amazon Prime). A documentary about a recent immigrant from France who tries to keep his beloved Los Angeles restaurant open during the COVID shutdowns. Vincent Samarco is a hard working small business owner who took every opportunity, but still was forced into bankruptcy. The strangest thing is that he was able to maintain his cheerful outlook. This is the kind of film that would clean up at a film festival.
1110am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then workout at Planet Fitness. Then it's up the hill to the Dollar Store for canned cat food and 'non-denominational' wrapping paper.
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps
1205pm: To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross. 45"Treadmill. 30"Bike. 30"Treadmill. 30"Cross.; watched documentary 'TAKE YOUR PILLS: Xanax' (Netflix); began 'SAVE OUR PARKS' J.R.E; 'NIGHTMARE IN SUBURBIA' (Amazon Prime)- Man from Wales murders his 15 year old step daughter; more of RICK RUBIN on LEX FRIDMAN.
Up the hill to the Dollar General for 7 cans of Friskies pate/ salmon and a roll of Xmas wrapping paper.
455pm: In the tub with 'CASS TIMBERLANE' and listening to 'American Beauty' and 'Working Man's Dead' Playlist.
Began 'THREE PINES' (Amazon Prime). Chief Inspector Armand Gamache looks for a missing Indigenous woman and tries to determine who electrocuted a local female author in the middle of the village's curling competition. The series is based on the mystery novels of Canadian author, Louise Penny and it feels a little like 'Agatha Christie- Lite'. Shut it down 24 minutes into episode #2.
