Watched the rest of the Netflix disc 'THE LAST DUEL'. I feel like I just spent a couple of hours in the 14th century.  Ridley Scott has created the best jousting scene ever put on film! Both 'heroes' were severely flawed and even if The Knight had lost, it would have been a believable outcome. At least The Lady was not burned at the stake. Fun Fact: Burning at the stake could take as long as twenty minutes before you die; with Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Ben Affleck, and Jodie Comer. Directed by Ridley Scott and Affleck, Damon, and Nicole Holofcener wrote the screenplay based on a non-fiction book by Eric Jager.  

Watched a YouTube video about the film.

Watched 'THE PISTOL SHRIMPS' (Kanopy). A documentary about the Los Angeles 'Pistol Shrimps' female basketball team. A disparate group of female comedians, actresses, musicians, and models get the local West Hollywood rec-center to sponsor a female basketball team. It's fun and gives 'the girls' more to talk about than auditions and parts 'they almost got'. The two man podcast during the game was very funny. It's far from standard 'play-by-play' and what's going on in the game is secondary to their wacky commentary. Aubrey Plaza is featured in this documentary which was co-produced by Morgan Spurlock. Catchy Names for the Teams: Shecago Bulls, Traveling Pants, Space Glam, Ba Dunka Dunks, LA Nail Clippers.

Since today is warmer than I expected, I'll walk downtown to mail back the disc.

345pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and began a TUESDAYS WITH STORIES. 

450pm: In the tub with 'GOODBYE MICKEY MOUSE' and listening to 'The Good The Bad & The Ugly' soundtrack; THE TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND Playlist. 

***Thrilled to learn that the new WILCO album is on Amazon Music and I created a playlist.

Watched an excellent interview with JEFF TWEEDY on YouTube.  Tweedy offers a frank and honest twenty minute discussion about his alcoholism/ addiction/ depression...  "I think people really get into trouble when they think that they get to choose their emotions".

Began 'THE LORENSKOG DISAPPEARANCE' (Netflix).          Set in Lorenskog, Norway- 9 miles east of Oslo.  I shut it down 22 minutes into episode #2. Unfortunately, this is based on an actual event and it is still an open investigation, so at the end of the series I won't know the real outcome.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
