Up 530am: Cloudy and overcast with a little 'mist & wintry mix ' beginning early this afternoon with temps to the upper 30's.

I wrote up 'A KISS BEFORE DYING' by Ira Levin for the blog. 

Watched 'HOW I BECAME A GANGSTER' (Netflix). For the past forty years Poland's economy has been controlled by various mobster syndicates and then a more or less 'decent' man attempts to establish a crew, ignore the law, make his fortune, yet retain his morality. The film is slick and violent, but I doubt that this is a true picture of almost any aspect of Poland's organized crime. Filmed in and around Warsaw, Poland. 

Watched the last episode of 'VICTIM NUMBER 8' (Netflix). The series ends with the innocent 'terrorist' and his girlfriend in jail and the journalist (with a new kidney) has a phone message that 'proves' that the terrorist attack was just a ploy to murder a man's brother. I'm not sure if there will be a season 2, but the series could continue and maybe the guy and his girlfriend will get out of jail or the current ending would suffice. 

1140am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

 1115am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT began J.R.E;  watched 'THE FBI FILES' (AMAZON PRIME) - THE UNABOMBER'.

Reading 'DETOUR' & listened to 'Roxy Music' but the vampire croon is not working for me.

 245pm: A call from Springfield Clinic about the procedure. Diet begins Saturday and the time was moved up 30 minutes on Tuesday.

350pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and more of SHANE GILLIS on J.R.E. 

445pm:  In the tub with 'DETOUR' and listening to 'Goats Head Soup' Deluxe- THE STONES.

Began NIKKI GLASSER on WHISKEY GINGER

Began 'THE MAKANAI: Cooking for the Maiko House' (Netflix). Two sixteen year old girls in contemporary Japan go to become apprentice Geisha or 'Maiko'. One isn't gifted enough and she becomes the cook for the school. Totally alien to western eyes and maybe this is why I'm hooked. I watched the first two episodes.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
