We 1/4/23
805am (B). 1050am (2-B). 1230pm (1-B). 440pm (2-B). 710pm (B).
Upper 30's, breezy and cloudy.
Up 615am: Buddy seems absolutely back to normal. No 'clear liquid' vomiting this morning and his appetite is back to ravenous.
***I assembled the new vacuum before taking the Big Blue Can to the curb. This model seems better made than the old sweeper and the cord is much longer.
I called the vet at 8am and they'll call back. They charge $109 for cremation. That's made me a little less anxious now that I know Brewer will handle that part of it. But, at least for today, he's on a rebound.
Then I watched the last two and a half episodes of 'EQUINOX' (Netflix). An intriguing series and I'm glad I stuck with it..... Hey! 'The Powers of Darkness' finally won one! Astrid and her sister reunite in a hazy netherworld and they (possibly) become 'The Brides of Ostara'. Since the demon has gotten what he wanted, the 21 missing students are then freed. The final shot: Bird's eye view of the 21 missing high school students from 1999 walking out of a corn field. The whole thing was darkly disturbing. I liked it a lot!
Began 'THE SERPENT' (Netflix). Charles Sobhraj is a serial killer who preyed on young explorers of 'The Southeast Asian Hippy Trail' during the late 1970's. Apparently, he pretty much got away with it and was released last month after only serving 19 years for multiple murders. 8 parts to this series and so far so good.
1130am: Throop and Sons Tree Service pulled up on Westview and it looks like we are about to lose another tree- 2 houses up on my side of the street. It must have been in their backyard because nothing was done in front.
1205pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. I was going to walk outside but the temperature was only in the mid thirties with a stiff wind.
1230pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched another episode of 'THE SERPENT' (Netflix) ; more of NIKKI GLASER on NEAL BRENNAN.
3 sets/ 15 reps
Finished 'THE MATCH' by HARLAN COBEN and began 'THE RISK POOL' by RICHARD RUSSO.
350pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began MARK NORMAND on LEX FRIDMAN.
445pm (2-B). In the tub with 'THE RISK POOL' by RICHARD RUSSO and listening to Live GRATEFUL DEAD; Live JAMES BROWN.
Since I've got so many foreign series backed up in the Netflix queue that I decided to skip more of 'THE SERPENT' and move on down the line.
Began 'THE TRIAL' (Netflix). Seventeen year old girl is found drowned with an ice pick or a screwdriver punched through her eye into her brain. She was a rock star's mistress and his wife might be behind the murder. I'm only luke warm on this one, but I'll give it another episode. Shut it down 19 minutes into episode #2.
