Watched 'EVEN THE RAIN' (Netflix). A big-budget Spanish production company attempts to shoot a movie about the exploitation of Bolivia by Christopher Columbus while the country erupts in violence during the Cochabamba Water War of 2000;  with Gael Garcia Bernal and Luis Tosar; 22 wins & 17 nominations. '69 Metascore'. I had seen this before, but well worth a second viewing.

From a review at San Francisco Chronicle:"That irresistible thing - a movie about the making of a movie - combined with a bit of a history and a political message."

1045am: PC is 'Off' and today's plan is to read for a while, do the weights, and then hit Planet Fitness.

When I got home I noticed Buddy had gotten sick in the kitchen while I was gone. I fed him & seemed his ravenous self.

Began a TUESDAYS WITH STORIES

I rechecked the mail and I got two discs 

Began the Netflix disc  'THE UNHOLY'. A Catholic Horror tale set in western Massachusetts. A 'kern doll' (spirit doll) is found by a mute teenager and she regains her hearing and voice, but connects with an evil spirit who is posing as The Virgin Mary. A grizzled journalist becomes her spokesman and mayhem ensues. I shut it down at 56 minutes and will watch the rest tomorrow morning before the Wellness Visit with Dr. Ellison.

From a review at 'The Guardian'- "If the devil did exist then surely he’d have the power to destroy films as dull as this."

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
