Up 540am: Mostly cloudy with temps in the upper 30's and light rain beginning early afternoon and continued through evening.

***I turned off the extremely annoying 'live captions' on the upstairs PC. (Do downstairs PC this evening- 'Settings', left side- 'Appearance'). In the evening when I began to change the downstairs PC I noticed that the feature was disabled when I shut off the upstairs PC. 

Watched 'PRAYERS FOR THE STOLEN' (Netflix). In rural Mexico a village is threatened and harrassed by corrupt militias and violent drug cartels. These rustic people live a meagre existence helping drug traffickers in the poppy  fields while the feds spray deadly poison all over the countryside. And if this weren't enough, the villagers worry that their daughters won't be kidnapped and sold to be sex workers. The film begins when the main characters are child actors and in the second half of the film the same actors are now teenagers. Directed by Tatiana Huezo from a novel by Jennifer Clement.

Finished 'MONIQUE OLIVIER: Accessory To Evil' (Netflix). A fairly high budget production, but it didn't pack that much of a punch. Can't people with high intelligence also be manipulated? Just because Monique was smarter doesn't necessarily mean that she was the brains of the outfit. I thought the sentencing was fair; she got 28 years and he got life. 

1130am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. Feel tired today.

Began 'IN THE NAME OF GOD: A Holy Betrayal' (Netflix).  A Korean Christian pastor has sex with fifty women at a time. Nice work if you can get it and during the late 1980's he was especially popular at some of the most prestigious universities in South Korea. Shut it down 10 minutes into episode #2.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
