Last night I finished reading 'GUILTY WIVES' by James Patterson and began 'EXPOSURE' by Kathryn Harrison.
Up 520am: Partly sunny with temps to low 50's.
Watched 'THE LOST CITY OF Z' (Hoopla). In 1905 a young English military man hooks up with the Royal Geographical Society to explore the border between Bolivia and the Amazon jungle. There he learns of an ancient and abandoned city in the wilderness and to rediscover this lost civilization becomes his life's mission. It was a far better film than I thought and I half expected to see a "Harrison Ford character" running around looking for a temple with a parrot on his shoulder. James Gray (the director) presents racist and sexist views as a normal person would express them given the era. Maybe this is the reason that some of the scenes are a bit uncomfortable- ex. 'ARMAGEDDON TIME'; with Sienna Miller, Charlie Hunnam, and Robert Pattinson.
I watched a YouTube interview with James Gray about the making of 'ARMAGEDDON TIME'.
11am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit Esporta. After the workout I'll hit County Market or Schnucks for supplies.
Weights: 3 sets- 15 reps
1150am: To Esporta. 45" Precor. 45"Treadmill. 30"Cross. 30"Bike. 30" Precor; Finished 'BLOOD BROTHERS' (Netflix)- Malcolm X dropped the anti-white rhetoric & went public with Elijah's children out of wedlock; YouTube video of James Gray & Jeremy Strong; an episode of 'MY LOVER MY KILLER'- Two boozers/ cokeheads from Birmingham, England hookup and she stabs him to death; 'Bus Hang'- KFC RADIO.
To the vitamin store on Wabash: $65. No other errands.
Reading 'EXPOSURE'
445pm: In the tub with 'EXPOSURE' and listening to IAN HUNTER'; 'SCOOP'- PETE TOWNSHEND; HUMBLE PIE Playlist.
Watched 'ILLUSION' (Netflix). A Polish Art House film about a woman from Gdansk, Poland who is searching for her missing teenage daughter. Police have exhausted all leads and psychics are consulted. Her husband has a stroke from too many antidepressants after psychics believe he knows where her body is located. The film has a dreary and deadpanned tone, but there is no payoff. At the end, the woman doesn't find her daughter, but she locates the body of a missing teenage boy and this mother embraces her. Not worth the hour and a half of my life that I invested in this very strange film.
