Did the Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'BAD BOYS' (Netflix).  A sub-average 'Cop/ Buddy' picture set in mid 90's Miami. Two police detectives protect a sexy witness and attempt to recover a massive amount of heroin that was stolen from the police lockup. Lots of car chases, explosions, and general 'boom-boom' and about what you would expect; with Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Joe Pantoliano, and Tea Leoni. Directed by Michael Bay. Chicago Sun Times: Roger Ebert's reaction to the film:

"Whom do they make these movies for? What exercise in self-deception inspires them to go to such effort and expense for what is obviously going to be a lame exercise in retreadmanship?"

945am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for Five Miles on the treadmill. The plan is to hit the Rochester library for a five dollar bag of books; 12pm- 3pm.

1005am:  FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; a complete TUESDAYS WITH STORIES; more of 'RUNNING THE LIGHT'.

1205pm: To Rochester. Spent ten minutes in Rochester driving around because I didn't go far enough east on Rt.29. A bag of books for $5.00 but I was in the building from 1245pm- 1pm and only 7 books made it into the bag. It was slim pickings and I was home by 130pm.

Checking in the new books: 6 paperbacks and 1 hardback (IAN RANKIN) & then reading 'THE RINGMASTER'.

345pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began JOEY DIAZ on J.R.E.

440pm: In the tub with 'THE RINGMASTER' and listening to KINKS- 'Lola vs. Powerman'; ADRIAN BELEW POWER TRIO; PARLIAMENT Playlist.

Began NICK SWARDSON on WHISKEY GINGER YouTube.

Began the first episode of 'TRANSATLANTIC' (Netflix). Shut it down 10 minutes into episode #2. It's set in 1940 Occupied Marseilles, France and concerns a Chicago heiress who bankrolls a ragtag network of resistance people to smuggle refugees out of Vichy France. Based on real events; with Gillian Jacobs (LOVE) and Corey Stoll (HOUSE OF CARDS). I might tag this series for later.
