Up 5am: A mix of  clouds and sun with temps to mid 80's. It never got hot enough to turn on the AC- a pleasant change.

I watered the front flowers and used the scythe to cut down some of the clover. No rain in the forecast until Sunday at the earliest. 

Watched 'INSIDE MAN' (Netflix). I had given it a 'thumbs up' so I knew I had seen it, but I didn't remember a thing. It's a brainy 'Bank Heist' movie with a star-studded cast. The detail that all the robbers and hostages wear the same color coveralls and masks was taken from a Spanish blockbuster. In this film the robbers steal a fortune in diamonds from a lock box in the bank fault. These gems were stolen from Jews by Nazis during WWII and the owner of the bank colluded with the Germans during the theft. Directed by Spike Lee; with Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster, Christopher Plummer, Willem Dafoe, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. 5 wins & 12 nominations: "76" Metascore.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
