630am: To County Market: $103 and home & put away by 715am. I bought butter and raisins for the first time.  

Watched 'TIN & TINA' (Netflix). Mom and Dad select a set of albino twins from the local Catholic orphanage and it seems like family bliss has finally arrived. But soon it's clear, at least to mom, that the twins are a couple of dangerous religious whack jobs. From 'A Art Tv Review':"A religious Thriller with hints of terror"..."The film is based on the short film of the same name, nominated for the Golden Melies for the European fantastic short film. Winner of more than thirty international awards, it was screened at more than two hundred festivals around the world. Critics called it a "cult short" and it has even been dubbed in Russian, Japanese, and Chinese."   

Finished 'THE PLAYING CARD KILLER' (Netflix). I guess the point of the film was that Alfredo Galan had something to do with the murders, but more people were most likely involved.  Much of the case for the prosecution rested on eye witness accounts that were less than credible.  

1105am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk to Washington Park.

445pm: In the tub with 'CONFEDERATES' and listening to GOV'T MULE Playlist; BETTY DAVIS Playlist.

Finished MARC MARON on WHISKEY GINGER & began MARC MARON on Tiger  Belly.

Began 'THE DAYS' (Netflix).  Standard 'disaster pic' about the earthquake and tsunami at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.  I shut it down 16 minutes into episode #2. I just heard Oliver Stone on J.R.E. talking about how safe nuclear power actually is and I wonder about his reaction to this film.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
