Watched Netflix disc 'INGRID GOES WEST'. Neurotic LA chick becomes obsessed with an online 'Influencer'; mayhem ensues. A delightful & witty black comedy; with Aubrey Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen (sister of The Olsen Twins), O'Shea Jackson Jr. (son of Ice Cube), Wyatt Russell, and Billy Magnussen. 2 wins & 10 nominations. "71" Metascore.

I finished 'SLEEPING DOG' (Netflix). I had to see it to the conclusion and I wasn't expecting that one of the '3 cop buddies' was the real killer, but I guess it was kind of lurching in that direction... I wonder if the Israeli series was any better and I'd give 'SLEEPING DOG' a solid 'C-plus'.  

150am: PC is 'Off' and preparing to hit  Planet Fitness/ Wabash PO. I'll stop at Schnucks on the way home for more Natty Light/ Canada Dry Ginger Ale.

Allmusic ad free: 100% improvement although it is essentially a theft of $12.

Began DAVE GROHL on WHITNEY CUMMINGS.

Began 'CLARK' (Netflix).  I shut it down 10 minutes into episode #2. The story of Clark Olofsson, a controversial Swedish gangster convicted of drug trafficking, attempted murder, assault, theft and dozens of bank robberies. Without a doubt, Sweden's most famous 'celebrity gangster'.  His bank robbery and hostage situation was responsible for the phrase 'Stockholm Syndrome'.  The series is very sharp with lots of clever directorial fireworks and a real feast for the eyes. Filmed in Kaunas, Lithuania; Rijeka, Croatia; Opatija, Croatia; Zagreb, Croatia.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
