Up 545am: Temps to upper 80's with showers predicted for the afternoon. 

735am (2-B). 1025am (2-B). one hit on the roach in the parking lot around noon. 805pm (1-B). 

I opened a new gel pen.

When I went to the car to charge the phone I noticed that I have a battery icon on the car. This was only have full and I was wondering if this was somehow connected to me charging the phone. I don't think that the car icon ever indicates a 'full' charge, but I really don't know.

I pulled up the city Outage Map and it seems that my local area is one of the hardest hit in the city.

745am: Walk..(I ran into my neighbor again this time on Kenyon. He had his wife's little dog 'Socks' and was talking to a repair guy from Xfinity. I mentioned that I got a text from Xfinity on Thursday night saying the internet would be back at 2am on Friday. He said that was sent before anyone knew the extent of the damage. He said that it would be several hours after the power is returned before we get an internet connection). Wash Pk southside, middle of the park, northside (I noticed that many more trees had fallen in the park since the 'big hit' on Thursday at noon), up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR. 

***When I was almost to the park I made a call to Esporta and happy to learn that they were fully powered and open till 7pm. 

Home to locate and clean the ice chest and make more lists. 

10am: Preparing for a long drive to charge the phone and then hit Esporta; gas/ groceries/ ice/ batteries. 1030am Out the door and took Vets north to Dirksen/ 55 south to vets exit. About 40 minutes and charged about 20 percentage points. It seems that driving doesn't make it charge any faster. 

45"Precor. 45" Treadmill. 45" Cross and began the Netflix series 'SAFE'.

Stopped at Schnucks for apples, ice, and 'C' batteries. The clerk was on a chair at the register and got up to find the batteries. Later I found that I needed size 'D' batteries. 

Home by 3pm and I was happy that Buddy didn't get sick even though I had been gone for longer than usual. 

Reading on the breezeway and finished 'SACRIFICE'.

5pm-520pm- Talked with Janny and Joe and told them that I tried the hot water and I have had hot water all along. I just assumed it would be 'off' as well, but I guess I have a gas water heater. This is a big difference in comfort. 

Began 'ABRAHAM LINCOLN- VAMPIRE HUNTER'.

730pm: Heavy rain shower with the sun brightly shining.810pm: I walked around the block and noticed two guys talking near 'the hoarder's house' on Kenyon. They had noticed a pole that had not been worked on but was clearly very damaged. I hope the workers are aware of this. And, on the way back to the house I noticed Julie was sitting in her car and I said 'Are you charging your phone"?. She said that Todd had gotten a generator and it was connected to almost everything. Most people only use a generator to keep their freezers going. 

**Buddy was very sick and I switched food about 915pm and he ate a little. He was sleeping in the bathroom which is highly unusual.

We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
