7am (2-B). 1005am (1-SB). 110pm (2-B). 605pm (2-B). 820pm (2-B).
Up 510am: A mix of sun & clouds and temps to upper 80's. Heavy storm around 910am and lasted for about 30 minutes. The sky turned pitch black, but only very hard & soaking rain and no straight line winds- just under an inch and a quarter of rain according to the rain gauge.
I decided to watch 'THE EXPENDABLES' (Netflix) before I realized that I had a disc to view.
Watched Netflix disc 'CRIMES OF THE FUTURE'. In a gloomy and dystopian future the human body has been made malleable by evolution or genetic alteration and elective surgery has become the new sex. According to Cronenberg in the bonus features he says the film is "about the crimes committed by the human body against itself...". I had seen this before but remembered only the first scene where the young boy is eating a plastic wastebasket. Well worth a second viewing. Strange and hauntingly beautiful and unmistakably a film by David Cronenberg; with Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux, and Kristen Stewart.
1110am-1120am:

More 'SPOTLESS' (Netflix). Finished episode #9 and only one more to go. I'm gonna miss this one and will save the final episode for tomorrow morning and start another foreign series tonight.
1215pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. I'll leave the Netflix disc on the box and if the mailman doesn't get it, so be it (he got it).
***1230am: Futon arrived at the front door & downstairs by 1250pm. I used a rope wrapped at the end of the box to guide while sliding it to the bottom of the stairs
Oiled the treadmill
120pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished MARK NORMAND; began THEO VON on '2 BEARS.
Weights: 3 sets dumbbells/ 10 reps; 3 sets barbells/ 10 reps.
345pm: Futon unpacked and cardboard cut and will require 2 Wednesday pickups. Couch is everything I imagined & looks sharp.
Reading 'THE BARON'
505pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished THEO VON on '2 Bears'; began BILL BURR on THEO VON.
610pm: In the tub and skimmed to the end of 'THE BARON' and began 'THE ORACLE' by Edwin O'Connor (his first novel and first published in 1951) and listening to JEFF BECK- 'Beck-ola'/ 'Truth' shuffle.
More of 'BILL BURR on THEO VON.
Began 'WOMEN AT WAR' (Netflix). Finished episode #1 and this looks like a promising series.
When I came upstairs I noticed a puddle of hairballs/vomit on the hall runner.
***Write Fr 8/11/23 on booklet that I oiled the treadmill yesterday
