Up 550am: Partly sunny with a chance of thunderstorms later this afternoon with temps to mid 80's. First time I've opened the house in several days. 

Watched 'A FORTUNATE MAN' (Netflix). At the dawn of the 20th century an ambitious young Danish man leaves his ultraconservative religious family in the hinterlands to make his fortune as a civil engineer in Copenhagen. His ideas are a hit but his arrogance prevents him from landing the funding and soon he's back in the sticks licking his wounds. He was adored by women but his puritanical childhood prevented him from accepting their love because of his single minded focus on his innovative ideas.  This is a great story and not at all another hackneyed tale of a young man who seeks his fortune in the big city. Maybe the theme is 'To thine own self be true.....warts and all'. 5 wins and 13 nominations. I really liked this one and it was based on a 750 page novel by Henrik Pontoppidan- 1917 winner of the Nobel Prize for literature.

More 'ALBA' (Netflix).  I shut it down 30 minutes into episode #4. I just found out that there are 13 episodes in this series and I will watch them all. 

1215pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit the machines at Planet Fitness. 

Weights: 3 sets/ 12 reps/ dumbbells. 

110pm: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross.  45"Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30"Treadmill.  30"Cross; watched 'CHAINED' (Amazon Prime)- A taxi driver is a serial rapist/ killer takes the 9 year old son of a victim and keeps him as a junior partner; with VINCENT D'ONOFRIO. Dreary & depressing; JOE LIST on SAVVY'S WORLD; watched an episode of 'NIGHTMARE IN SUBURBIA' (Amazon Prime)- Vintage guitar collector murdered his wife and flees to Spain with their two young sons; MARK NORMAND on BERTCAST. 

I went across Wabash to the gas station and got a 30 pk of Natty Light and not a single can of diet soda in the whole fucking store. 

When I got home Buddy had thrown up on the kitchen floor in front of the toaster. The vomit was full of hair so it didn't bother me....that much. 

555pm: In the tub with KERI DAY and listening to CANNED HEAT Playlist; BLODWYN PIG Playlist; ADRIAN BELEW- 'Inner Revolution'.

More 'ALBA' (Netflix). I finished episode #5 and it looks like the case will be going to court. Episode five ends with all the accused rapists being hauled off to the local jail but I'm sure they will say that the 'incident' was completely consensual.

We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
