7am (2-B). 820am (1-SB). 1245pm (2-B). 545pm (2-B). 825pm (2-B).

Up 545am: Bright & sunny with temps to low 80's. It's heating up and temps in the mid to upper 80's through Tuesday. What happened to Fall?

***Today is the last day of Netflix Disc and I'm really going to miss them.

Watched Netflix disc 'BLOOD SIMPLE'. A woman in a small Texas town cheats on her husband with one of his employees at the bar. Misdirections and false assumptions lead to murder and convoluted cover-ups. A classic film, but I think I liked 'THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE' just a little bit more. Of course, that was much later in their careers and 'BLOOD SIMPLE' was their very first film; Written and directed by the Cohen Brothers; with John Getz, Frances McDormand, Dan Hedaya, and M. Emmet Walsh. 5 wins & 7 nominations. "84" Metascore.

I downloaded my DVD Rental History from Netflix.

My first rentals:

1). "Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and The Media" was my first rental 4/29/2004

2). "Raising Victor Vargas" 4/29/2004

3). "Rashomon" 4/29/23

Finished 'UNSEEN' (Netflix).  In the last scene Zensi jumps off the roof of a burning nightclub, but that doesn't necessarily rule out another season. I'd give this one about a 'C-Plus'. The Internet is unsure if there will be another season, but 'UNSEEN' is based on a Turkish series called 'FATMA'. That's now in my queue. Part of the episode was set in Caledon, South Africa which is about 60 miles east of Cape Town.

12pm: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then walk downtown to mail back the penultimate Netflix disc (if 'DINER' isn't in the mail).

1255pm- 250pm: To Downtown...Parkview,  Wash.Pk northside,  Park,  Edwards,  Monroe PO,  Edwards,  Lawrence, golf course,  Fairway, and up to 940; JAMES BROWN- 'Payback'; more BRIAN SIMPSON on J.R.E.

Reading 'THE COLOR OF LIGHT'

450pm;: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more ROBERT KELLY & PAUL VIRZI Podcast.

550pm:  In the tub with 'THE COLOR OF LIGHT' and listening to JAMES BROWN- The Payback'; HUMBLE PIE- 'The Atlanta Years' Playlist; CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE'S SOUTHSIDE BLUES BAND- 'Stand Back'.

Began a 'MINDFUL METAL JACKET'- JOE LIST with two comics.

Began 'FUGITIVA' (Netflix). The wife of a Mexican gangster fakes a kidnapping of herself and her kids. Dad's a violent man and divorce is not an option for him so she and the kids will hide out for a few months and hope he gives up the search...I guess. So far it's an overheated Mexican melodrama and I'll give it at least another viewing. I shut it down 13 minutes into episode #2.
