Sa 9/16/23- Buddy Sick

725am (2-B).  1040am (1-B). 1250pm (2-B). 540pm (2-B). 8pm (2-B).

Up 6am: Cloudy with temps to mid 70's.

My right thumb was bothering me. It felt like I strained it, but I can't remember anything out of the ordinary that happened yesterday. Maybe it's the onset of arthritis. I found some muscle rub and accidently rubbed the ointment into both eyes and the pain was about an eight on a 10 point scale. By late afternoon the discomfort in the thumb vanished.

***Just before 8am Buddy threw up several times.  No food until at least 10am. However, he doesn't seem lethargic, but I think I should make an appointment with the vet. This is happening too often. It's nearly every other day and that's not normal, even for a seventeen year old cat. Because he was begging to be fed I gave him a little bit of Friskies at 9am. I hope he keeps it down. He did and around 1030am I fed him more and he seemed fine. Too much food at once seems to be the cause.

***He threw up again around 1115am so I called Brewer and made an appointment for Thursday, 9/21 at 450pm.

Watched 'THINGS TO DO IN DENVER WHEN YOU'RE DEAD' (Amazon Prime).  Jimmy The Saint runs an 'AFTERLIFE ADVICE' business because "life goes by quicker than summer vacation".  The title of the film is taken from a Warren Zevon song. Memorable Quotes:   'Put a name on it"..."Mammy Rammer"..."Boat Drinks"..."I Am Godzilla, You Are  Japan"..."Buckwheats"; with Andy Garcia, Christopher Walken, Christopher Lloyd, William Forsythe, Bill Nunn, Treat Wiliams, Jack Warden, Fairuza Balk, and Steve Buscemi. Buddy Guy is in a music scene and Warren Zevon's song is played over the final credits. This is the very definition of a Cult Movie. I loved it!

More 'GREEN FRONTIER' (Netflix). I shut it down 34 minutes into episode #5. A spooky blend of Magic and Mystery but the storyline is fairly confusing. It's glacially paced yet a treat for the eyes and an exotic musical score.

1230pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for the treadmill.

Weights: 3 sets/ 14 reps; Dumbbells

***Oiled treadmill

1250pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; began an interview with ARI SHAFFIR; began THEO VON with a philosophy professor; began Best of JOE ROGAN on CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING.

I wanted to listen to music through the living room speaker bar and for some reason it wasn't paired to the phone. Fifteen minutes of screwing around but I got it back & not sure how.

Reading 'SHOEDOG'

450pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; ARI SHAFFIR interview.

545pm: In the tub with 'SHOEDOG' and listening to 'CLASSIC BLUE NOTE HITS' shuffled; 'FLOCK' shuffled; BLUES IMAGE.

More of THEO VON with a philosophy professor

Began Netflix disc 'HIGH SIERRA'. I shut it down at 1 hr and eight minutes with thirty left to go.
