We 12/27/23

 We 12/27/23

720am (2-B).  820am (1-SB). {1220pm- one gummy}. 1245pm (2-B). {3pm- one gummy}. 540pm (2-B). 810pm (2-B).

Up 6am: Light rain/ drizzle this morning and then cloudy with temps barely out of the 30's. However, by late morning the forecast changed to rain/ drizzle throughout the day.

Watched 'KLONDIKE' (Hoopla- borrowed yesterday). A very dark satire about the horrors of civil war. A rural Ukrainian man and his very pregnant wife try to exist after their home has been partially destroyed by friendly fire and her brother and husband clash and take opposite sides in the conflict. In the end, the woman gives birth in squalor on a dusty sofa and the baby screams once and is silent...."Dedicated to women".

***I ordered a 'jar opener for old people and children': under five bucks at Amazon; delivery by Dec 30.

Watched 'SUBJECT' (Kanopy). The film poses the question: Who is the real 'owner' of a documentary? Is it the human subjects of the film or the makers of the film? If there were no subjects, there would be no story, but without the filmmakers, the story would never be told. Most of the highly acclaimed documentaries are featured in 'SUBJECT'; 'HOOP DREAMS, 'CAPTURING THE FRIEDMANS', 'THE STAIRCASE', 'THE SQUARE', 'THE WOLFPACK'.

1215pm: PC is 'Off' and I was going to walk outside, but the forecast changed to drizzle all day. Tomorrow I'll hit the streets and today it's the treadmill.

***I took a 'new'(more CBD) one gummy two minutes into the walk.

1245pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched most of 'HELL CAMP: Teen Nightmare' (Netflix);

Reading 'NATIVE SON'

***I took one gummy; 'older'(less CBD) variety.

440pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; finished 'HELL CAMP' (Netflix); more of SHANE GILLIS on J.R.E.

545pm: In the tub with 'NATIVE SON' and listening to MOTT THE HOOPLE- 'All The Young Dudes'; JEFF BECK Playlist.

Began JOE LIST & DAN SODER

More 'BODIES' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #5. Many of the pieces are coming together, but I'm a long way from knowing what's going on, yet the suspense is sky high.

***Watch on Thursday: 'A HANDFUL OF WATER' - My last pick this month from Hoopla
