Up 540am: Cloudy with a wintry mix beginning late this afternoon & tonight with temps to about 40. Two to four inches are possible. 

Watched 'MAESTRO' (Netflix). The slump is over! A terrific 'Morning Movie' about the complicated relationship between Leonard Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. The first hour of the movie is in black and white and this section highlights how easy it was to adjust to Leonard's bisexuallity. The second half addresses how very difficult this became. The dialogue was very lively and created an intriguing character study of Leonard Bernstein the man and his art; with Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Sarah Silverman. "77" Metascore; 17 wins & 108 nominations.

Directed by Bradley Cooper and co-produced with Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.

Finished 'THE WOODS' (Netflix). The prosecutor and his teenage girlfriend will give it another shot and, out of the blue, without any indication that it was possible, the prosecutor finds his missing sister in a convent!!!! I wonder if there will be a remake in another country. Maybe Poland was not the best venue for this story. 

1140am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the weights and then hit the streets. Three to five inches expected late this evening and tonight.

Began 'FOOL ME ONCE' (Netflix). Filmed primarily in and around Manchester, England.

From 'Atlas of Wonders': "The show is part of a deal that Coben signed with Netflix to adapt 14 of his books into series for the streaming service company, including Safe (2018), The Stranger, The Woods (both 2020), The Innocent, Gone for Good (2021), and Stay Close (2022)." I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #2 and this film is much less complicated than 'THE WOODS'.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
